Theatro Municipal will have operas for free at noon

From April 29, the Theatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro will resume the project "Opera do Meio Dia", which was suspended for twenty years. In this initiative, soloists of the Choir of the house will make free presentations on the internal staircase of the theater, with the piano accompaniment. Under the direction of conductor Cyrano Sales, holder of the Municipal Choir, the first concert will be dedicated to Gaetano Donizetti's comedy "Don Pasquale". The passwords for the presentations will be distributed one hour before each show in the box office, and visitors who are performing a guided tour will also have access to the event.

In addition to Giochino Rossini's debut concert, Giacomo Puccini's "L'italiana in Algeri", "Tourandot" and "La Bohème", "John and Mary", by German composer Engelbert Humperdinck in October, and a special Christmas concert at the end of the year.
