Who answers through the portal

This portal is maintained by Riotur, a tourism company in the city of Rio de Janeiro, and gathers tourist information from the city: events, places, neighborhoods, news and tours.

By using the portal, and especially by creating an account, you agree to these terms and privacy policy.

About this text and translations

Each version of these terms has a number and a date of validity, indicated at the end of the page; the acceptance given in the registration is registered with the current version.

The content is written in Portuguese. Versions in other languages are automatically translated, can be reviewed by the team and may contain inaccuracies. In case of divergence, the text is valid in Portuguese. Languages that do not yet have their own version of these terms lead to the English version.

The portal and published information

Information about events, places, schedules, prices and services is disclosed to help those who visit or live in the city. They can change without warning: confirm with the organiser or establishment before moving. The presence of an item on the portal is neither recommendation nor quality assurance.

Visitor account

The account is optional. It requires 18 years or more and accepts these terms and privacy policy. She keeps favorites, scripts and warning preferences.

You undertake to inform true data, to save your password and to notify if you suspect improper use of the account. In the "My Account" area you correct your data, download a copy of it, disable the account or request deletion. We can suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse or violation of these terms.

Rules of Use

When using the portal, you should not:

• try to access restricted areas, other people's accounts or the team panel;
• overload, mass copy or interfere with the functioning of the portal by unauthorized automated means;
• sending illegal, offensive, misleading or violating third-party rights;
• use the portal for illicit purposes or to send unsolicited messages.

Sending events and establishments

Events and establishments sent by the portal require account and go through the analysis of the team before appearing on the site; the submission stays "In review" until the decision, which may request corrections or refuse publication.

You state that the information is true, that you have the right to use the texts and images sent (with due credit) and that you authorize Riotur to publish them on the portal and in its touristic disclosures. Contact details written in the published text are visible to the public.

Publication of an event on the portal does not replace licenses, licenses or authorizations required by law. Riotur can edit, remove or archive published content.

Alvará for events

The event license page is informative and summarizes the service of the Prefeitura do Rio with indicated source. The request, the payment of the fees and the monitoring are made by the service of the City Hall, in Carioca Digital (carioca.rio). In case of difference, the rules published on the City Hall website are valid.

Intellectual property

The texts, images, videos, brands and other contents of the portal belong to the Riotur or to whom it has given them, and are protected by law. You can share links and quote excerpts with the source indication; reproduction or commercial use of content depends on authorization, unless there is a license indicated in the content itself.

Third party content and websites

YouTube videos, Flickr albums, OpenStreetMap maps, the VLibras feature and links to external sites follow the terms and policies of these services, for which Riotur does not respond. Videos and albums are only loaded with your permission (see privacy policy).

Availability and responsibility

We work to keep the portal available and correct, but it is offered as it is, and may become unavailable for maintenance or faults. Riotur does not answer for decisions made solely on the basis of the information of the portal, nor for damages arising from third-party services, within the limits permitted by law.

Accessibility

The portal seeks to meet the accessibility guidelines, with options of text size and contrast and translation to Libras. If you find a barrier, let us know through the portal service channel.

Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Amendments and forum

When these terms change, the new version is valid on the date indicated at the end of the page, and relevant changes will be informed on the portal. Continue using the portal after the change indicates that you agree to the new version.

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. To resolve conflicts over them, the court of the County of the State of Rio de Janeiro is elected, without prejudice to the forums that the law guarantees the consumer.
