In the morning, enjoy the sun and sea breeze on the beaches, perfect for relaxing and outdoor sports. In the afternoon, dive into the city's rich history and culture, visiting museums, cultural centers and iconic sights that reveal the essence of the Wonderful City. And at night, the city becomes a vibrant setting, with a nightlife full of bars, restaurants and showhouses that ensure fun for all tastes. To help you make the most of this experience, we have gathered a selection of places to visit once you get to Rio.
Cristo Redentor

You can't start without talking about the Cristo Redentor, symbol of Rio for the world. Located at the top of the Morro do Corcovado, the largest and most famous Art Deco sculpture in the world is located in the Tijuca National Park, 710 meters from the sea level, where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the city. No wonder it bears the title of one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
Copacabana/Leme

Caringly nicknamed Princesinha do Mar, Copacabana Beach is located in the neighborhood of the same name, in the South Zone of Rio. It has bikers, bike lanes, kiosks, hotels, bars and restaurants frequented both day and night. It also has two military forts, one at each end of the beach, with panoramic views and open to visitors. The site also features the largest Réveillon on the planet and the largest dance floor in the world.
Ipanema Beach

Its sands marked the history of Bossa Nova, and the beach is among the favorite cariocas for its charm and relaxation. Worldwide known for the song "Girl of Ipanema", by Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, is 2 km long, from Arpoador to the Garden of Allah. The stretch near the posto 9 is one of the most popular, meeting point of young residents and tourists enchanted with the site.
Parque Lage

Originally from an ancient sugar mill, the Parque Lage is part of Rio's historical memory. Its beautiful European romantic style garden shares the attention with the native forest of Atlantic Forest. The imperial palm trees, the artificial lakes and islands, as well as the caves scattered throughout the park and the aquariums embedded in the walls with several fish, are also highlighted.
Parque Bondinho Pão de Açúcar

The first cable car in Brazil connects Morro da Urca to Morro do Pão de Açúcar. From the top of the two hills lies a stunning landscape of the city, including the inlet of Botafogo, the edge of Copacabana and the entrance of Guanabara Bay. The venue also hosts shows and night events, combining fun with an incredible view of the city lit up.
Escadaria Selarón

Located between the Lapa and the Santa Teresa neighborhood, the Escadaria Selarón was designed by Chilean artist Jorge Selarón and is decorated with tiles from various parts of Brazil and the world. All colorful, it has already been the scene of clips by artists such as U2 and Snoop Dogg, besides being a location chosen by cariocas and thousands of visitors for photographs.
Theatro Municipal of Rio de Janeiro

One of the main showhouses in Brazil and Latin America, the Theatro Municipal receives great international artists and important names of Brazilian culture, including representatives of dance, music, opera and performing arts. Today, it is the only Brazilian cultural institution to simultaneously maintain a choir, a symphony orchestra and a ballet company.
MAM - Museum of Modern Art

Located in the Park of the Flamengo, the newly formed space represents a landmark of architecture, result of the traces of architect Affonso Eduardo Reidy and landscape project of Roberto Burle Marx. With more than 15,000 works, its collection features sculptures and paintings by internationally renowned artists, as well as a remarkable group of Latin American artists.
Museu do Amanhã

With almost a decade of history, the attraction located in Porto Maravilha presents exhibitions that invite us to reflect on who we are and where we are going. The Museu do Amanhã is dedicated to cultural and research activities aimed at the study of our future.
AquaRio

The largest marine aquarium in Latin America houses about 3,000 animals of 350 different species, representing several marine ecosystems. Its greatest attraction is the Oceanic Recint, with 3.5 million liters of water and seven meters deep, where the public crosses the tank through an underwater tunnel.
Urca Mureta

Meeting point of young cariocas and tourists, it is a reference when the subject is cold beer and sunset under one of the most beautiful views of the city. Every day, friends gather on the muse to chat, eat snacks served on the street by the bars around and enjoy the Cristo Redentor from a different angle.
