Shakira Show drives flight searches and reinforces Rio's tourist potential

The expectation for Shakira's show on Everybody in Rio, scheduled for the day May 2 on the edge of Copacabana, it begins to reflect on the tourism of the city. According to data from LATAM Airlines Brazil, the search for flights to Rio with arrival on the day of the event and return on the following day registered a 104% increase compared to the same Last year's period.

Another section of the company shows growth of 65% in search of passages for whom intends to arrive in town the day before the show and return on May 3. The movement reinforces the impact of major cultural and musical events on the attraction of visitors and the movement of the Rio economy.

With iconic scenarios and infrastructure to receive large audiences, Rio is increasingly consolidated as the stage of major international shows and festivals, strengthening its position as one of the world's leading tourist and cultural destinations.

According to the airline, the current network has about 450 weekly flights, between domestic and international operations, distributed between the Santos Dumont Airport and Tom Jobim International Airport.
