Sale of the special metro passport for the Réveillon Rio 2026 starts today

The sale of the special subway passport to the Réveillon Rio 2026 was started on Monday (15/12). Tickets are digital, via QR Code, and give the return to the party in Copacabana for the amount of R $ 15. The purchase can be made by the app or site Rio Metro and, in person, at the stations Del Castilho, Carioca/Centro and Jardim Oceânico/Barra da Tijuca. In-person sales happen every day from 10:00 to 7:00.

At the time of purchase, the customer must choose one of the five schedules for departure: from 19h to 20h; from 20h to 21h; from 21h to 22h; from 22h to 23h; or from 23h to midnight. The return can be made between midnight and 5h of January 1st, without scheduled time, through the mandatory use of the return bracelet.

News for 2026

One of the novelties of this edition is the return bracelet, which will be delivered to the passenger at the time of validation of the special ticket in the boarding turnstiles for the event. The measure aims to speed up and organize the flow of passengers on the turn after burning fires.

The bracelet is indispensable for boarding after the event in Copacabana. Even those who do not use the subway on their way and opt for transportation after midnight should remove the bracelet, available on the 31st, from 14h to 22h, at the stations Siqueira Campos/Copacabana, Cantagalo/Copacabana, General Osório/Ipanema, Jardim Oceânico/Barra da Tijuca and Maracanã.

From December 22, digital tickets will be sold exclusively by the official MetroRio app and website. The online sale will be closed at 6 p.m. on December 31 or earlier if the passports run out. During the special operation of Réveillon, only passengers with a return passport can use the subway between 19h of December 31 and 5h of January 1.
