Roxy Dinner Show turns immaterial heritage of Rio

The Roxy Dinner Show was recently recognized as a State Heritage Site in Rio de Janeiro. In addition, less than a month ago, the American magazine Time included the site on the "Best Places of the World" list in 2025. Check out the complete matter Here..

Former Roxy, space reopened in October last year, fully restored and transformed into a "dinner show" — an entertainment option for cariocas and tourists, with dinners followed by musical shows.

Currently, Roxy Dinner Show presents the show "That Hug", an immersive journey for Brazilian cultural diversity. The show celebrates the folklore, the stories and the energy of the various regions of Brazil, through a symphony of music, dance, flavors and emotion. Comprising 60 artists, including dancers, singers and musicians, "Esso Abraço" is divided into 21 scenes depicting Brazil, with 55 songs expressing the country's joy and Brazilianity, from north to south. The show goes beyond the stereotypes and celebrates the rhythms and cultural manifestations of the five regions, such as the festival juna, the oxen of Parintins, the maracatu, the chula (gaucha dance) and also honors icons such as Carmen Miranda and João Gilberto.
