Rita Lee Park welcomes the Rock 80 Festival

The Rock 80 Festival, a free event, takes place on 25 and 26 January at Rita Lee Park, on Barra da Tijuca. The event brings together music, gastronomy, space for children, fashion and culture, all in one place! Entry is free, but the public can contribute to the donation of 2kg of non-perishable food.

On Saturday, the band Hommeoffice will open the concerts with successes of Urban Legion, RPM and Titans, followed by Queen Of The Rock, which will pay tribute to Rita Lee. Saturday will also feature performances by Rio Rock Roots and the band Baixo Grau, with songs by artists such as Cássia Eller, Raimundos and Charlie Brown Jr. On Sunday, Modehard starts the day with classics from Bon Jovi, U2 and Guns N’ Roses, while the band 80 Tons of Rock explores Plebe Rude and Simple Minds hits. The final performances of the festival are performed by Cão Vira-lata, with successes by Pink Floyd, Kiss and Creedence, and by the band Dinucci, which closes the event with repertoire by Iron Maiden, Green Day and Audioslave.

The festival also offers sports activities such as basketball, skateboarding, skates and climbing wall. Animals will also be welcome, as the event is pet-friendly. Parking is free on site.
