Rio leads national ranking of reputation and image, points research Marca Brasil

Rio was identified as the state with the best image and reputation of Brazil, according to the Marca Brasil survey, carried out by OnStrategy consulting and published by CNN Brasil.

In the survey, the state of Rio de Janeiro reached a score of 8.2 on a scale of 0 to 10, the highest score among all the states. The result reinforces the relevance of Rio in the perception of Brazilians and highlights the strength of attributes historically associated with the state, such as tourism, culture, natural landscapes, historical heritage and national identity.

In addition to leading the ranking, Rio was well above the average reputation of Brazilian states, which was 6.4. The study highlights that the state continues to occupy a central position in the collective imagination of the country, being recognized for its contribution to the construction of the image of Brazil.

Conducted between October 2025 and March 2026, the survey heard more than 470,000 people, among Brazilians and foreigners. Citizens, businessmen, journalists, influencers and authorities from various countries participated, evaluating the reputation and image of Brazilian states.

The result consolidates Rio as one of the country's main references, recognized nationally and internationally for its ability to attract visitors, host major events and represent Brazilian cultural diversity.
