Réveillon 2025 in Rio brings together more than five million people around the city

The arrival of 2025, at the biggest turn in the world, brought together more than five million people, between Cariocas and tourists, in the Réveillon of Rio. During the party on the 13 stages spread across 11 neighborhoods, with five points with fireworks in the city and an unprecedented laser show, more than 80 attractions (between shows, DJs and samba schools) took turns in the biggest line-up in history. The Réveillon 2025 - performed by Prefeitura do Rio via Riotur with SRCom - illuminated the sky of Rio, animated by renowned artists such as Maria Bethânia, Caetano Veloso, Ivete Sangalo and Anitta, among others.

Only in Copacabana and Leme, which brought together 2.6 million people, were three stages - one of them dedicated to the gospel public - and ten ferries with 35,000 fires fired for 12 minutes, in addition to an unprecedented laser show. Equipment with GPS connection ensured that each ferry fired the fires accurately, synchronized in real time.

A crowd of about 2.5 million people were distributed across the city, such as Penha and Flamengo who also had fires. But the biggest novelty was the pyrotechnic show at the turn-of-the-year party of the newly opened West Park in Inhoaíba, and Realengo Park Susana Naspolini.

The soundtrack, created especially for the event, included rhythms from all regions of the country, as well as world hits by artists such as Madonna, Lady Gaga and Coldplay, as well as songs that marked the year and classics, such as “Evidences”, composed in 1989 by José Augusto and Paulo Sérgio Valle, eternalized in the voice of Chitãozinho & Xororó.

Five musicians, from all regions of the country, were invited to contribute with the trail: Milton Guedes (West Center), harmonica and saxophone; Caesar Barbosa (Northeast), guitar; Márcio Jardim (North), percussion; Paulo Bessa (Southeast), funk electronic; and Maycon Ananias (South), piano and organ.

Just before the countdown to 2025, there was a manifesto, displayed on the screen of the main stage, creating a moment of reflection, lasting one minute.

The fireworks show, once again, followed all the recommendations and legalizations of the competent bodies, below 120 decibels and distancing, following all safety standards, as well as regulates the Draft Amendment to the Organic Law 22-A/2018.
