Martinho da Vila chose the stage of Vivo Rio for one of the most symbolic moments of his trajectory. On May 30, the Sambista takes the stage next to his daughter, Mart’nália, to present the tour “Father and Daughter”, a project that marks the last great tour of his career.
For the first time, father and daughter share a full tour celebrating not only their stories in music but also one of samba's most important legacies. The show brings together successes, unprecedented meetings on stage and moments that promise to thrill cariocas and tourists.
Considered one of the biggest names of our music, Martinho da Vila built a career marked by classics that helped define the samba's identity in the country. Composer, singer and writer, the artist transformed everyday, community and love themes into songs that are part of the affective memory of millions of Brazilians.
It was in this musical environment that Marti’nalia grew. Surrounded by samba wheels and backstage shows since childhood, the singer built her own artistic trajectory and consolidated herself as one of the most authentic voices of contemporary music, transiting between samba, MPB and other rhythms with remarkable personality.
In the repertoire of the tour, the public will be able to revisit classics of Martin's career, such as "Disritmia", "Casa de Bamba" and "Slow, Slow", as well as successes played by Mart'nália, such as "Cabide", "Pé do Meu Samba" and "Boto My People On the Street". The show also holds special moments in which the two artists share interpretations full of humor and family complicity. The artistic direction of the tour is signed by Groove Productions.
