Mariah Carey brings unpublished Christmas show to Rio in November

Attention, Mariah Carey fans! The American singer confirmed on Tuesday (25/05) an unprecedented performance in Rio with the special tour Mariah Carey’s Christmas Time. The show takes place on November 21, in the outside area of Farmasi Arena, and marks the first time the artist brings to Brazil the theme show inspired by Christmas.

Known worldwide as the “Queen of Christmas”, Mariah consolidated her connection with the end of the year after the release of the album Merry Christmas (1994), which includes the classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You”. The song became one of the biggest Christmas symbols of pop culture and continues as the traditional soundtrack of celebrations around the world.

Other Christmas hymns on the setlist

The show presented in Brazil will feature repertoire focused on the singer’s Christmas hits, including songs such as “Silent Night”, “Joy To The World” and the hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You”. In the recent performances in Las Vegas, the show gained a format divided into acts, with exclusive costumes, chorus and body of dancers.

The passage through Rio is part of a short Brazilian agenda of the artist, which is also presented in São Paulo on November 17.
