Imperator reopens in November with Diogo Nogueira show

Closed since January for renovations, the João Nogueira Cultural Center – Imperator, Méier, North Zone of Rio, will be reopened to the public in November. The re-opening of the house will be marked by a show by singer Diogo Nogueira, son of the sambista who names the space, on November 3rd, at 19h.

The improvements made include renovations in the dressing rooms, painting renovation, modernization of the sound system and air conditioning, as well as a new scenic lighting.
The reopening program includes heavy musical attractions such as Elba Ramalho and Michael Sullivan, as well as mood shows with actor Rodrigo Sant’Anna and promoter David Brazil. Ticket sales begin the week before the opening.
Located on Rua Dias da Cruz, 170, the Imperator is a complete cultural center, with showroom, cinema, exhibition space, bistro and terrace for events. During the period of construction, only CineCarioca Méier (the cinema of the Imperator) and the exhibition area remained in operation.
