CCBB RJ is receiving the immersive exhibition “Viva Mauricio – Mauricio de Sousa, the immersive experience”. The show invites the public to immerse themselves in the trajectory and creative universe of one of the greatest names of Brazilian culture, creator of characters such as Classa da Mônica, Chico Bento, Horácio and Penadinho. The experience occupies an area of 780 square meters in CCBB RJ. Developed by MSP Studios, the show proposes an interactive journey through the scenarios of stories that marked generations, inviting the visitor to “enter the mind” of Mauricio de Sousa.

The path of the father of the Class of Monica narrated

Driven by the artist's own voice, the narrative travels from childhood in Santa Isabel, in the interior of São Paulo, to the consolidation of his work as a cultural heritage of the country. The curatorship is signed by Marcelo Jackow, Sidney Gusman and MSP Studios, bringing together historical, technological and sensory elements.

Over 25 environments, the public will be able to explore immersive facilities and scenarios inspired by the characters, as well as access to rare materials from Mauricio de Sousa's personal collection. In all, there are about 210 exclusive items, added to over 200 reproductions of drawings, photographs and videos that help tell the artist's story.

The exhibition also stands out for its commitment to accessibility and inclusion. The circuit has tactile signaling, audio description in Portuguese, English and Spanish, resources in Libras, tactile maps and predictability, as well as specialized guides, trained monitoring team and decompression spaces aimed at neurodivergent people.

Inaugurated during the school holiday period, “Viva Mauricio” promises to consolidate itself as one of the main cultural attractions of the city, attracting cariocas and tourists until April. For BB Consórcios, supporter of the project, the initiative reinforces the role of culture as a tool of inspiration and transformation, by valuing imagination, creativity and national identity. The show is on display until April 13th.
