CasaBloco 2026: three days of music, culture and rhythms from Brazil at Jockey

In February... has Carnaval, has CARNAVAL! And in Rio, the preparation for the greatest party in the world begins first. One of the highlights is CasaBloco 2026, an event that unites music, art and gastronomy in three days of programming in the Brazilian Jockey Club, Gávea.

The festival celebrates the diversity of carnivals in Brazil, bringing together cultural manifestations from different regions, Rio, São Paulo, Pará, Pernambuco, Paraíba and many others, in a unique experience that mixes rhythms, blocks, artists and popular traditions.

On 29, 30 and 31 January, the public will be able to experience some of the many carnivals scattered throughout the country, in a complete program that precedes the Rio folia.

The history of the project

Created in 2018, CasaBloco was born in order to value the multiplicity of rhythms, knowledge and expressions of the Brazilian carnaval. Designed by Rita Fernandes, the event integrates music, dance, cinema, visual arts, fashion and popular culture, always cherishing structure, comfort, security and diversity.

Throughout the year, Rita travels through different cities of Brazil in an immersion by regional carnivals, bringing new references, sounds and traditions that shape each edition of the festival.

In addition to the shows, CasaBloco promotes workshops, conversation wheels, film sessions, dances, craft fair and gastronomic fair, expanding the carnival experience and celebrating the cultural wealth of the country.
