Casa Carnaval, dedicated to samba schools, opens in Rua do Mercado

A cultural meeting point belonging to the Reviver Cultural Center Program, Casa Carnaval will be inaugurated on Saturday (19/10), in the Center of Rio (Rua do Mercado 37). The focus is to honor the Samba Schools, and the project will be played by Fabiana Amorim, who is also director of the Association of Mirins Schools of Rio de Janeiro (AEM-Rio), and Bruno Tenório.

To mark the premiere, the Festival of Chopp Many Carnavals, starting at 11h, with a beer at R$ 5. And also the choice of King Momo, Queen and Princess Mirins, the official Mirim Court for the Carnaval 2025!

Roda de samba, Cuban music, chat with carnivals and the Baderna Festival are also highlights of the event. In the gastronomic wing, there are food foods from the Cado da Nega.

The lyrical singer Carla Rizzi, characterized as Carmen Miranda, will perform a special performance on the balcony of the house, playing classics of the artist.

One of the points chosen by Prefeitura do Rio as part of the program that seeks to revitalize the historic center of the city, Casa Carnaval offers an immersion in the carnival universe with exhibitions, courses and presentations throughout the year.

The Reviver Cultural Center Program will take art and culture back to the Rio Center. An initiative for the revitalization of idle properties facing the street and its occupation by artistic-cultural establishments. Projects such as art galleries, bookstores, publishers and studios of design, fashion, performing arts, music, photography and dance will be contemplated.
