Beans on Sao Jorge Day: see where to celebrate with samba and tradition in Rio

On São Jorge Day, Rio is dressed in white, filled with faith and gives itself to samba and taste. The feijoadas gather tradition, joy and a lot of music — choose the wheel that best suits you, gather your friends and celebrate the Santo Guerreiro the way the carioca knows how to do: with axé, beans and samba in the foot.

On this special date, we gathered some tips on where to enjoy a good feijoada in honor of Ogum/São Jorge, with music, joy and that seasoning that only Rio has.

Box Carnaval

From 11 am, the space receives the event Patron bean, of the Serrano Empire — a celebration of samba culture and tradition.

The feijoada will be packed by Samba Wheel of the Salt Stone and by the group Sambaketu. The event starts at noon.

One of the main reducts of samba in the city will have shows of Marquinho Sathan and Rat Alley Band o. The celebration starts at 12.

Zeca Pagodinho bar In the three units, there will be a full buffet of beans and drinks included, with great names of samba to command the sound in each unit.

Also early in the afternoon, the site will be the stage of the feijoada commanded by Creole Grounder.

The party will have the group Samba-Enredo Exaltation and participation of Nilopoli Kiss-Flor s, current champion of Carnaval Carioca.

Besides the wonderful feijoada, there will be a super show with singer Vitinho. The date starts at 1:00.

The court receives the Firm Group, the wheel of Samba of Dawn And the Sambist Igor Smile. Party starts at 2:00.
