Casual Meeting Ball (day 27) The opening of the carnaval of the Rat Alle, day 27/02, is on account of the project Casual Meetings. Inácio Rios and Mosquito command the disputed wheel, with its brilliant compositions and interpretations. Fixed programming of the house on Thursdays, with the right to surprise guests and participations of samba partners, this pre-carnavalesque edition will be a Fantasy ball.

Samba Block They Want (day 28) Opening: Joana Nascimento
Comprising exclusively of women, the samba wheel that has gained more and more voice in the Rio scene - with shows in emblematic places - echoes among verses the legacy of names such as Clementina de Jesus, Tia Surica, Ivone Lara, Beth Carvalho and so many other pioneer women for bringing to samba the maxim that “woman’s place is wherever she wants”!
The girls of the SQL carry in the repertoire the ideal of moving and encouraging the female representation within the music. The repertoire walks through all aspects of rhythm, bringing together compositions that exalt the samba of root in its joyful and libertarian essence, which made it a world reference.

Mouse Alley Block / Moyseis Marques Ball (day 01)
O Mouse Alley Block, created 18 years ago and led by musicians of the homonymous band, in 2025 honors the 10 years of the project Casual Meetings, revering singers and composers Inácio Rios and Mosquito for the services provided to samba and the Brazilian culture. The duo will be present at the house and will be the center of the attractions on Saturday.
The two are on the front committee of the new generation of the Rio samba. The musicians joined to make a samba after a “casual encounter” and the news spread, conquering a faithful audience in the Beco do Rato, a place chosen by the duo to harbor the idea, which would be fortnightly. With success, the performances became weekly.
The repertoire, which has emblematic sambas and copyright, walks through songs by masters such as Noel Rosa, Paulinho da Viola, Zé Keti, Nelson Cavaquinho, Beth Carvalho, Reinaldo, Zeca Pagodinho and Arlindo Cruz.
The block will remember important moments of the 10 years of career in a special presentation.
At night, Moyseis Marques Takes to the Rat Alle over 20 years of career and carnaval. The repertoire includes from the epic marchinhas and sambas of plot to the carnival sambas - of terreiro and partido alto. With his remarkable voice, the singer and composer is one of the pioneers of the renewal of the Lapa of Noel, Cartola, Geraldo Pereira.

Arruda Ball (day 02)
Opening: Cultural Group Exaltation to Samba Enredo
With over 15 years of career, the group Arruda Walks through samba classics and copyright songs. Representative of the authentic genre, its references are Fundo de Quintal, Cartola, João Nogueira, Clara Nunes and Roberto Ribeiro, but also admires the samba de roda da Bahia, exploring well the baianidade of Caetano, Geronimo and Roque Ferreira. The group loves the mystical and religious side of Afrosambas, and tries to instill in their identity a mixture of what is best in our popular music.

Arlindinho Ball (day 03)
The singer and composer Arlindinho, that presents itself every Monday, makes its samba wheel in rhythm of carnaval. In the repertoire great successes of Arlindo Cruz, as ‘Good apprentice’, ‘My place’ and, of course, the emblematic ‘The show has to continue’. And other great names of samba, like Dona Ivone Lara and Zeca Pagodinho.

Caymmo Block in Pife (day 04) – Free Entrance
The block is a meeting of renowned flautists to honor Dorival Caymmi, one of the biggest bulwarks of MPB.

Bloc Batuqueiros (day 05)
The 17th edition of Batuqueiros is special! The block that cultivates its roots, commanded by sambaists of the new generation and known on samba wheels of Brazil, will pay homage to Mestre Beloba. He is one of the greatest masters of tantan and participated in most of the most relevant samba projects.
João Martins, Lula Matos, Marcelo Amaro, Jorge André and Maurício Araújo are among the musicians who run the block. Tantan, respique, tambourine, tambourine, ganza, reco-reco, banjo and cavaco unite in this great and traditional meeting of Ash Wednesday, parade for Rua Joaquim Silva (Beco do Rato) until Escadaria Selarón.
