A Home Museum Eva Klabin presents the exhibition “Hypertelia – Change Tides”, open to the public until December 13, in Lagoa. Curated by Camilla Rocha Campos, the exhibition brings together about 50 works by eight contemporary artists in dialogue with works and objects of the Eva Klabin collection (1903–1991), proposing new relations between art, architecture, memory and space.
The exhibition starts from the concept of hypertelia, associated with the idea of objects, works and spaces exceeding the functions for which they were originally conceived and acquire new meanings. The proposal also modifies the very organization of the house, with parts of the collection displaced from its usual places, architectural elements presented in new forms and environments reorganized from the presence of contemporary works.
