In February... there's carnaval! And even when the calendar says otherwise, after all this year officially the party takes place in early March, here in Rio what is not lacking is programming this emblematic month for the largest party in the world. CasaBloco 2025 is one of these events, which unites music, art and gastronomy, hosting different rhythms, with shows held at the Brazilian Jockey Club, at Gávea.

The festival brings together various cultural events, from various parts of Brazil, expressing the multiplicity of carnivals in the country. It is a unique carnival experience, uniting Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Pará, Pernambuco, Paraíba, Pernambuco and more. Blocks, groups, rhythms and artists from different regions join the representatives of Rio folia at a great feast celebrating the power of the artistic universe and the culture of the carnaval.

This year’s theme is “Amores, Colors and Carnavals”, bringing together 3 days of diverse and complete programming for all tastes. Thus, you are in the Carnaval of Rio and still manage to get to know a little of the many carnivals spread throughout Brazil. Don't lose!

Cinema - In addition to the shows, the event holds the III Petrobras CasaBloco Film Show, on Saturday and Sunday. The show consists of film sessions, conversation wheels and cultural performances at Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB).

On Saturday, from 14h, the show presents the films No Let's Sucumbir, directed by Miguel Przewodowski; and the five episodes of the series Enredos da Liberdade, by Luis Carlos de Alencar. A conversation wheel will gather the director of the series Enredos da Liberdade, Luis Carlos de Alencar, and the creator of the series, Rodrigo Reduceino, with mediation of the curator of the show, Pedro Monteiro.

On Sunday, the films will be shown I am Samba, but you can call me Zé Ketti, Luiz Guimarães de Castro; From Leme to Praça Mauá – Stories and songs of carnaval carioca, Pedro Monteiro; and Rosa - The narrator of other Brasis, by Valmir Moratelli and Libário Nogueira.

The event will also feature two fairs, both at the Jockey Club. The “Street is Our” Fair will be open from 16h to 0h, offering fashion, accessories and more, while the Local Junta Fair, dedicated to gastronomy, will run from 16h to 2h.
