Since 2018, the Orla Sabores Award has celebrated the rich and varied cuisine of the beaches of Rio, recognizing the best dishes and snacks in the region. From an authentic bayion of two to flavors of Italian cuisine, previous editions highlighted the mixture of cultures that make up the Rio waterfront. The eighth edition of the Orla Sabores Award takes place from 1st to 31st July 2025, with the participation of 150 kiosks, transforming the coast of Rio into a true festival of flavors, creativity and culture.
The great novelty of this year is the new assessment criterion: sustainability, which is worth up to 1 point of the 10 totals. The technical score now considers the use of sustainable ingredients, the support of small producers, the use of inputs and the fight against waste. An initiative that reinforces the commitment of Orla Rio, a signatory of the UN Global Pact, with the Sustainable Development Goals and the future of beach gastronomy.
The participating kiosks promise to surprise with unique combinations and unforgettable moments throughout the competition.
