The Classics of Brazil is a festival that celebrates historical records of Brazilian music, bringing to the public live performances that revive outstanding albums in full. In its 4th edition, the event arrives at the Marina da Glória, in Rio, from October 10 to 19, offering a unique experience with a diverse curatorship.
In this edition, great artists feature classic albums of their careers, including Marcelo D2, which will play the iconic album À procura da Batida Perfeita (2003), Lenine and Marcos Suzano with the project Eye of Fish, Zombie Nation with the album Da Lama à Caos and Gabriel The Thinker, who revives Puzzle (1997). The festival also features the initial Capital show playing its iconic MTV (1999), as well as Xande de Pilares playing Xande Canta Caetano, and Humberto Gessinger performing the Acoustic Engineers of Hawaii (2004). The national rock is represented with the band Ira! playing its Acoustic 20 Years, Plebe Rude with The Concrete Já Rachou (1985) and Los Sebos Postizos honoring Jorge Ben Jor with the Emerald Tablet.
For reggae fans, there will be a special day dedicated to the classics of the genre, with concerts by Armandinho, Maneva, Edson Gomes and Point of Balance, bringing the best of the Brazilian reggae on a memorable night.
In addition to these attractions, the band Cidade Negra presents itself with the album Sobre Todos as Forças (1994), completing a line-up that celebrates the musical diversity and cultural wealth of Brazil.
