The Bridge Challenge is back! After 12 years of waiting, the traditional half marathon that crosses the iconic Rio-Niterói Bridge returns with a new edition. The event takes place on 3 August, starting at 6:30 am, at the Niemeyer Way (Niterói) and arriving at the Praça Mauá (Rio de Janeiro). The route will have 21 km, being 13.29 km on the Rio–Niterói Bridge, reinforcing the city's leading role in performing major sporting events.
The last edition of the Bridge Challenge took place in 2013 and now the event returns with a megaoperation: in addition to the race, there will be hydration and recovery points along the way, exclusive areas for participants and support structure with chemical toilets at strategic points.
