Rio Restaurant Week bet on cuisine inspired by World Cup champions

The city of Rio is already preparing for another edition of one of the country's main gastronomic festivals. The 31st edition of River Restaurant Week It starts on May 21st and runs until June 21st. The Fair will have the participation of about 80 restaurants spread across different regions of the city.

World as an inspiration

This year, the event bets on the theme “The Champions’ Kitchen”, proposing a gastronomic trip inspired by World Cup winning countries. The proposal invites chefs and restaurants to explore international flavors and references in special menus consisting of entrance, main course and dessert. The dishes will be offered in four price categories: Traditional, Plus, Premium and Diamond, with values between R$ 59.90 and R$ 149.00. The 2026 edition also brings as novelty the Menu Kids Week, available in some houses for the value of R $ 39.90.

Consolidated on the Rio calendar, the festival seeks to democratize access to quality gastronomy, as well as move the sector in a period considered of low seasonality. The organization's expectation is to market more than 64 thousand menus during the period, generating an estimated economic impact of about R$ 10 million for the city.

Among the participants in this edition are traditional restaurants and known names of the city's gastronomic circuit, such as Outback Steakhouse, Claude's Cantina, Mäska, Rudä, Casa Porto, Teva Bistro and Bene, located at the Sheraton Grand Rio hotel.

In addition to the gastronomic experience, the festival also maintains its social bias. For the second consecutive year, part of the value collected from the menus may be allocated to INCAvoluntary, an area of social actions of the National Cancer Institute, which develops projects to support cancer patients and family members.
