LGBTQIA+ World Market reaches 4th edition on 27 and 28/06, in the Arcos da Lapa

The Coordination of Sexual Diversity of the Civil House of Prefeitura do Rio, in partnership with Sebrae Rio, on 27 and 28 June, from 10h to 18h, the 4th edition of the World Market LGBTQIA+, in the Arcos da Lapa. The free event is consolidated as an important space to value entrepreneurship, culture, diversity and inclusion in the city.

The program will feature musical performances and cultural attractions that celebrate the plurality and richness of the artistic expressions of the LGBTQIA+ population. Among the highlights are Samba Mangueira School, rapper, singer and composer Ebony, as well as Karoline Absinthe, Ballroom, Sapagode, DJ Nicky, Nanda and Pambelli.

In addition to the cultural agenda, the LGBTQIA+ World Market will bring together 40 businesses led by LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs, 30 of which are trade and services areas and 10 of the food segment. The exhibitors represent sectors such as fashion and accessories, crafts, art, beauty and self-care, creative services, culture, education and other initiatives that reflect the innovation and entrepreneurial power of the community.

The initiative also seeks to foster income generation, expand business opportunities and strengthen the local economy. The event also has the support of the Transcender project, Sebrae Rio, aimed at training LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs, promoting diversity and inclusion in the business environment.

With the support of Riotur and Viva Rio, the LGBTQIA+ World Market integrates actions aimed at promoting employability, entrepreneurship and the rights of the LGBTQIA+ population in the municipality.
