After 15 years of success in the Praça da Bandeira, in the North Zone of Rio, the Bar da Front opens its first branch in Copacabana, on Rua Almirante Gonçalves, close to the famous Bar Bip Bip. One of the news of the new house, which will work every day from 11:00 to 11:00, will be the Brahma, always very cold.
The matrix, inaugurated in 2009 by Valéria and Mariana Rezende, mother and daughter, gained notoriety for the quality of their food and for the creativity of their snacks, such as the famous Quimono Pig (harumaki pasta stuffed with pork chop and herb cheese), winner of the Food di Buteco 2014, the Fondue de Coxinha (chicken chops in the toothpick, served with cheese cream to white wine in the rechaud), the petisco Beijo Grego, creation of Chef Aninha Carbonell, and the delicious tongue cookies with oxtail, among others.
Mariana Rezende, partner and chef, reveals her emotion at the new challenge: "Though I've had a bar for over 15 years, I feel like a rookie! I'm very happy, it's all very different! I asked to make the menu in English and Spanish to receive the tourists, because in Copacabana, we have the whole world. And the best of all is that we are being very welcome by the residents of the neighborhood!"
The new space, which will be commanded by Mariana and his friend Julio Ferretti, is more spacious than the matrix and will have tables on the sidewalk. The menu will be the same, with classic snacks, as well as dishes for lunch. Don't miss the new Front Bar in Copacabana!
