Rio is a true spectacle of flavors and gastronomic diversity, always offering unmissable options for lovers of good food. For those who enjoy events that celebrate the local culture, a great news: on the 15/12th (Sunday), the city will host the 1st Festival of the Black Bars of Rio, also called Zungu., which aims to honor black heritage in music, customs and, of course, in Rio cuisine.
The event will be held on Lavradio Street. The Zungu will gather 11 Afro-Brazilian bars that are icons of Rio’s gastronomy and black culture, among the participants of the festival are the Bar da Dida — a house that bombes in Praça da Bandeira —, which will bring its samba wheel to animate the public at Quintal da Lapa. Other bars and Afro-Brazilian spaces are also present, such as Kasa123, Atelier Boniface, Manga Bar, Casa do Nando, Cheirinho de Dendê, Agô Bar and Borogun, each bringing their unique delights and experiences.
In addition to the gastronomic options, a feirinha with varied items, including clothing, accessories and handcrafted products, all with strong influence of black culture.
The activities start from 14h, and the tickets can be purchased at site. Don't lose!
