The singer and composer Tom Zé celebrates 90 years of career and artistic trajectory with a special show in Flying Circus Friday, November 13th. The presentation marks the anniversary of Bahian singer and composer and also the release of the album “Reliquary – Tom Zé – Live in Sesc 1996”. The night will also have DJ Set by Marcello MBgroove before and after the show.
Recorded three decades ago in a Sesc São Paulo unit, the album recovers different moments from Tom Zé's trajectory and presents new versions for songs such as "Taí (Pra Vodo Like Me)" and "Trem das Eleven". In the show, the artist revisits this repertoire alongside classics of his career, as well as more recent songs and possible surprises prepared for the performance.
Born in Irárá, Bahia, Tom Zé built a career marked by experimentation and rapprochement with different aspects of Brazilian music. The artist participated in the tropicalist movement and, throughout his trajectory, transited by references such as samba, pagode and bossa nova, maintaining a production associated with research and musical innovation.
