The Carlos Gomes Theatre receives the premiere of IN LIVE [within someone's head], a new creation of the Brazilian theater company. With general direction and original text by Marcio Abreu, the show proposes an immersion in the inner universe of a character, inviting the public to travel memories, dreams and projections of the future.
In the cast are Renata Sorrah, Rodrigo Bolzan, Rafael Bacelar, Barbara Arakaki and Bixarte. The montage is a fiction inspired by the biography of an artist, crossing personal and collective experiences to reflect on the recent history of Brazil and the world. The new production continues one of the lines of research: contemporary dialogue with classical works. In “AO VIVO [within someone’s head]”, the dramaturgy approaches Anton Chekhov, especially the play “The Seagull”, to investigate how the questions of the Russian author still resonate today. During the creation process, reflections arose on the permanence of these themes in time and the search for new possible forms and futures.
