In celebration of 117 years of Theatro Municipal, the city receives for the first time a street race starting in front of the historic building. The event takes place on July 26, at 7am, with a 5 km walk through the streets of the Center, passing by important postcards of the region, such as the Bondinho Station, the Metropolitan Cathedral of São Sebastião, the Church and Convent of Santo Antônio and the Lapa.
All participants who complete the course within the 75 minute time limit will receive a medal, and there will be prizes with trophies for the top three of the male and female categories, as well as athletes with disabilities.
