O Flying Circus, in Lapa, receives on the day 03/09 (Thursday) the American band The Slackers, one of the prominent names of the world scene of the ska. With more than three decades of trajectory, the New York group arrives in Rio to present the EP Money is King and revisit songs that marked their 35 years of career. The night will also have Songoro Cosongo and Skabloco concerts.
Formed in 1991, The Slackers built its sound from traditional ska, incorporating elements of swing, garage rock, blues and Latin rhythms. Throughout her career, the band released an extensive discography and consolidated performances marked by the mix of songs and classic versions of rock.
In the Flying Circus, the group presents the new EP Money is King and also revisits successes from different moments of their trajectory. The proposal is to bring to the public a presentation that brings together different musical influences and maintains the dancing feature that has accompanied the band since the beginning of the career.
