The Candido Mendes Theatre, in Ipanema, receives on Saturdays of November the comedy “Messiah is sought”, a satire full of humor and irreverence, which reimagins the life of the Messiah from childhood, exploring with lightness and irony deep themes such as faith, vanity and the weight of expectations.

In the plot, the protagonist is pursued by an eccentric King John while trying to deal with the temptations of youth, the harassment of fame and the pressure of being the “saviour of the world”. Between unusual encounters and spiritual disputes with “the bad thing”, the show invites the public to laugh and reflect at the same time.
