The celebrations for the 75 years of The Tablade start with the return of one of the biggest classics of the brazilian children's theater. "The Witch That Was Good" goes on the show from August 8th to September 13th, with presentations on Saturdays and Sundays at 5pm.
Written by Maria Clara Machado in 1954, the piece has been part of the company's history since the first decades of its trajectory. After striking assemblies in different periods, the show returns to the stage in a new adaptation directed by Cacá Mourthé, which incorporates novelties, among them new songs signed by Lincoln Vargas.
History follows Angela, a young witch who attends the School of Forest Malities. Unlike her colleagues, she is unable to do evil things and ends up helping Pedrinho, a young lumberjack, who puts her in conflict with school rules. The friendship between the two leads the narrative in an adventure that mixes fantasy, humor and imagination.
