More than 50,000 crochet yarns make up the installation “The House of All”, which premieres on October 25, at Caixa Cultural RJ. Inspired by the shape of a house, the work occupies a structure of 12 square meters and 2.5 meters high, fully coated by more than 400 pieces handmade by the collective curitibano Lucianas & Marias, formed by women artisans.
The creation is by visual artist Leila Alberti, native of Quilombo, in the west of Santa Catarina. During the visitation period, the public can participate in storytelling sessions and textile arts workshops, conducted by invited artists and craftsmen. The show is on display until November 23rd.
