On August 17, the Cidade do Samba became the epicenter of the most carioca genus of all with the Grand Wheel. The meeting celebrates the legacy of John Nogueira and the strength of the samba roots, gathering great names. Among the attractions is the samba wheel “Pagode do Nogueira”, by Diogo Nogueira, which will be located in the center of the event to bring more proximity between musicians and the public.
The repertoire embraces and brings the public closer to the diversity of Brazilian musical styles and sounds. With a lot of palm of the hand, tandeiro, cavaquinho and banjo, Diogo Nogueira honors masters of Brazilian music with new arrangements for “Empire” (João Nogueira and Paulo Cesar Pinheiro), “When The Giratus Girou” (Serginho Meriti/Claudinho Guimarães), “Smile Black” (Jorge Portela, Adilson de Barros and Jair de Carvalho) and “Go There, Go There” (Alexandre Silva, André Rocha, Moises Santiago), among others.
The Grand Wheel will also receive a samba wheel from the Bom Gosto group, as well as other attractions that will still be announced.
