The trio The Garotin, formed by Anchietx, Cupertino and Leo Guim, rises to the stage of Vivo Rio on November 29, at 10 pm, to celebrate a phase of great recognition in Brazilian music. With a sound that mixes groove, swing and references to the old black dances, the group conquered the audience and criticism, becoming one of the main names of the new national pop scene.
The Garotin gained international projection after winning the Latin Grammy in the category “Best Contemporary Pop Album in Portuguese Language”, with the album Os Garotin de São Gonçalo. The work also earned nominations in other featured categories, such as “Artist Revelation” and “Best Recording Engineering Album”, in partnership with musical producer Julio Raposo.
The debut album features 12 copyrights and a complete audiovisual project, which includes hits such as “Dark Curva”, “Calor do Momento” and “Girl”. Mixing R&B, soul, MPB and pop, the trio bets on light lyrics, humor and brazility, creating a warm and tropical atmosphere in its presentations.
