The solo musical "Os Olhos de Nara Leão", playing at the Teatro Clara Nunes, at Gávea, promises to revisit the work of one of the greatest icons of Brazilian music. With the interpretation of Zezé Polessa, the show brings classics immortalized by the voice of Nara Leão (1942-1989), as “The Band” and “Say I went there”.
Unpredicted, the project was born of a deep admiration of Zezé, who from childhood accompanies Nara's career through the radio records and successes. During the pandemic, the actress deepened further in this universe by reading a biography of the singer, making an immersion in the historical and musical context of the 1960s and 1970s.
A central figure in the cultural and musical transformations of Brazil in the period, Nara Leão is a reference not only for music, but for the behavior and social resistance of those years.
Directed by Miguel Falabella, the play is on display until May 4.
