The world's largest tattoo convention, Tattoo Week, reaches its 12th edition with the proposal to offer free tattoo and piercing courses for young people from Rio favelas. Registration is already open for 200 vacancies, 50 for the tattoo course and 150 for the piercing course. Entries can be made by link to piercing and for tattoo. In addition to practical classes, topics such as biosecurity notions in procedures, marketing and design will also be addressed.
It is not necessary to have prior experience to participate, just be over 18 years old and live in some favela in Rio. The courses take place in the week of Tattoo Week and will be taught by renowned professionals in the area.
The event is a great showcase where renowned piercings and tattooists can expose their works, becoming a great place of exchange. Anyone who visits the convention can get a tattoo or piercing and get into the new market trends.
