Show 'Candelaria' is on display at Recreio in November
The city of Rio de Janeiro will receive the show "Candelária". On display at the EPA – Artistic Research Space, the piece, organized by the collective "Cenical Burrow Investigative Strupe", is a manifesto that permeates structural racism in society and is the result of a scenic research on the Candelaria Chacina. The script goes through three dramaturgical clippings related to historical moments in Brazil.
The team consists mostly of black artists and technicians, in order to substantiate the questions proposed on the scene. The show has an investigative scenic language, which dialogues with issues relevant to Brazilian society. “Candelária” has the dramaturgy of Karla Muniz Ribeiro and direction of Madson Vilela.
