The contemporary dance show “Stop“ premieres on October 8, at Multiuse of Sesc Copacabana, with a season that follows until October 18. Designed by Júlia Fernandez and Luna Leal, the assembly transforms experiences of displacement around the city in motion to address issues such as urban mobility, social inequality and accessibility.
Throughout seven scenes, the show takes to the stage situations present in the routine of those circulating around the cities, such as long shifts, waiting, boarding, physical and social barriers and different forms of access to urban territories. The assembly starts from the research developed in the “Central Deriva” project, originally designed for presentations on railway platforms in the state of Rio de Janeiro, and expands research on the bodies and experiences involved in everyday paths.
