Next Tuesday, December 10th, from 17h, the musician, composer and singer Serginho Procopio, current leader of the Old Guard of Portela, will perform a special show on the court of Portela to celebrate his 35 years of career. During the event, an audiovisual with the participation of several guests will be recorded, including Teresa Cristina, Leandro Sapucahy, Xande de Pilares, Caju Pra Baixo, Samba de Caboclo, the Old Guard of Portela, the Fundo de Quintal Group, Marquinho Sathan, among other Sambists.
Serginho, son of musician Osmar do Cavaco, member of the Old Guard of Portela and partner of composer Candeia, inherited from his father the musical talent and received from Candeia his first cavaquinho.
With more than 300 compositions recorded by several artists, Serginho saw his songs played by great names of samba, such as Beth Carvalho, Zeca Pagodinho, Neguinho da Beija-Flor, Exaltasamba, Grupo Fundo de Quintal, Reinaldo Katinguele, Soweto, Negritude Jr., among others.
