On May 15, the stage of Vivo Rio will be the scene of a night of celebration of the legacy of Beth Carvalho, the eternal godmother of samba. The 2025 edition of Sambabook, the largest content platform dedicated to the genre, will bring the honored singer with an exciting show, bringing together great names of the genre.
In a single presentation, Sambabook Beth Carvalho will have the participation of Arlindinho, Sombrelinha, Mosquito, Lu Carvalho and Prettos, who will interpret classics immortalized by the godmother, such as “No Attack, No Defense”, “The Show Has to Continue”, “Camerão Que Sleepe a Wave Leva” and “I Don’t Want to Know More From It”, among others.
The project, created and produced by Musickeria, is already a tradition by honoring the biggest names of samba. Since its first edition, Sambabook has brought tributes to artists like João Nogueira, Martinho da Vila, Zeca Pagodinho, Dona Ivone Lara and Jorge Aragon. For this new edition, the creator and artistic director Afonso Carvalho brings a team of exceptional musicians, including Banda da Madrinha, formed by professionals who accompanied Beth Carvalho during his career.
