After a successful debut, the Samba dos Podadores is back at the Rival Petrobras Theatre on October 28, promising a night full of rhythm, emotion and tributes to the history of samba. The meeting brings together five great interpreters from our carnaval — Tinga (Vila Isabel), Marquinhos Art’Samba (Unidos da Tijuca), Serginho do Porto (Aguia de Ouro e Estacio de Sá), Bruno Ribas (Unidos de Padre Miguel) and Wantuir (Porto da Pedra) — in a show that walks through different stages of Brazilian popular music.
The repertoire makes a real sound journey: from the pagodas that packed the 1990s to the classics of the 2000s, until landing in Marquis de Sapucaí, with sambas-enredo that marked generations. The group also receives Master Chuvisco and the drums of Estácio de Sá, reinforcing the climate of parade and celebration.
During the show, artists revere icons such as Jorge Aragon, Dona Ivone Lara, Xande de Pilares, Neguinho da Beija-Flor, Renato da Rocinha and Zeca Pagodinho. The presentation also pays tribute to fundamental names in the group's trajectory, such as Dominguinhos do Estácio, Jackson Martins and Preto Joia, members of the first formation of the Samba Pullers.
