The Rio Bossa Nossa Festival returns to Ipanema Beach between January 23 and 25, with a free program that combines music, sport, sustainability, accessibility and social actions. In its fourth edition, the event reaffirms the proposal to occupy the waterfront with outdoor activities and honor Bossa Nova, a musical genre that was born in Rio for more than seven decades and projected Brazilian music on the international scene.
Among the confirmed artists are Leila Pinheiro and Marcos Valle, as well as partnerships such as Leo Jaime and Ricardo Leão, Maria Gadú, Monica Salmaso and Joyce. On January 25, when Tom Jobim would celebrate his birthday, the program gained special character with performances by Roberto Menescal alongside Theo Bial and Cris Delanno, and the closing show with Seu Jorge and Daniel Jobim, dedicated to the composer's work.
Presented by Helo Pinheiro, the eternal Girl of Ipanema, and by Pedrinho Solomon, the festival also has special appearances by Nelson Motta in a few days. In addition to the night shows, the Bossa Nossa River offers a daytime program focused on well-being, with activities such as yoga, gymnastics, football and beach tennis, promoting the use of the beach as a space for leisure, health and coexistence.
