Ritual dos Envejosos no Teatro Cândido Mendes

The Teatro Cândido Mendes, in Ipanema, receives the show “Ritual dos Invejoos”, with text and direction of Paulo Bond Simões. The montage follows the encounter between a man and a woman who, by perceiving unexpected connections between their stories, begin to share revelations that tension the relationship and lead the narrative by an emotional game marked by desire, envy and vulnerability.

On the scene, Paulo Bond Simões and Francys Bloch build characters that transit between identification and conflict, in a dynamic that intensifies throughout the play. The proposal is to bring the public closer to the more intimate layers of the protagonists, exploring human feelings and contradictions directly.

The staging bets on a sensory language, with the use of masks, soundtrack and symbolic elements that contribute to create an atmosphere of tension and immersion. The aesthetic dialogues with the ritualistic character suggested by the title, reinforcing the dramatic construction of the work. The play is on until April 28th.
