The singer Rita Benneditto returns to the stage of the Rival Petrobras Theatre, in the Center of Rio, on October 17, with the show “Tecnomacumba”, show that for more than two decades mix faith, art and resistance in a dip in Afro-Brazilian musicality.
Launched in 2003, the project marked the artist's career by joining traditional rhythms of religions of African matrix to MPB classics and elements of electronic music. The repertoire of the presentation includes hits such as “Sunday 23”, “Aruanda Knight” and “It’s d’Oxum”, as well as tracks such as “Mama Oxum”, public domain, and “7Marias”, authorial composition released in 2018 that accumulates more than five million views on YouTube.
