The history of the Rio-Niterói Bridge is highlighted in a new exhibition that will be inaugurated on April 16th, at 4:00 p.m., at the Correios Cultural Center. Titled Rio-Niterói Bridge: a Bridge between Stories, the show celebrates the 10 years of Ecovias Ponte in front of the administration of the work. The exhibition proposes an immersion in the memories, stories and milestones of the construction of one of the main engineering icons in the country.
The public can follow a timeline that tells from the first ideas for the connection between the two cities to the execution of the project, with historical records, drawings and photos of the construction and the inauguration. Interactive totems, with videos accessible by QR Code, will present reports of who has life connected to the Bridge. Among the stories are that of Nurse Cristiana Marçal, who met her partner working in the work, and the engineer Patricia Ribas Espinosa, the first woman to occupy the position of Engineering Coordinator at Ecovias Ponte.
The videos feature subtitles in Portuguese, English and pounds. The exhibition also offers interactive experiences, such as a game to test knowledge about the Bridge and virtual reality glasses that provide an aerial view and internal details of the structure.
