It's tradition: the year only begins after the meeting of Teresa Cristina with the Old Portela Guard in Vivo Rio. The show celebrates the story of carnaval's greatest champion in Rio and presents the new samba-enredo “The Mystery of the Prince of Bará – The prayer of the negro and the resurrection of his crown under the open sky of Rio Grande”. The night still pays homage to Gilsinho, interpreter of blue and white for almost 20 years. In the repertoire, classics of Portela and works of names such as Paulinho da Viola, Candeia, Zé Keti, Clara Nunes and Monarcho, in an exciting encounter between tradition and celebration.
