O Circuit Bira Presidente strengthens the street Carnaval of Rio when occupying the city center with parades on Avenida Chile, between Saturday (14) and Tuesday (17) of February. The program celebrates the tradition of the blocks and the democratic occupation of the public space in the heart of Rio.
Baptized in honor of Bira President, founder of Cacique de Ramos, the circuit brings together traditional blocks, cultural collectives and Afro-Brazilian demonstrations, turning Avenida Chile into a great corridor of folia.
Among the highlights are Miner Youth, China, Pillar Pagodão Beco, Pagodão de Madureira, Bohemians de Irajá and Cacique de Ramos, one of the largest institutions of the Carnaval Rio.
