The musical “The Little Kiss-Flor Nigga” is on display in Teatro João Caetano At the Centre, until November 1st. With the direction of Luiz Antonio Pilar and the text of Aydano André Motta, the show goes through the trajectory of singer and composer Neguinho da Beija-Flor, from childhood in a situation of extreme poverty in Nova Iguaçu, in Baixada Fluminense, until the consolidation of his career and international recognition.
On the scene, Izak Dahora plays Neguinho in a montage that gathers music and dramaturgy to tell different moments of his life and career. The story also addresses its five-decade relationship with the Beija-Flor of Nilópolis, the parades for the school and the creation of the famous cry of war “Look at the Beija-Flor there, people!”, which became a brand of samba-enredo interpreters.
