The Liga Independente das Escolas de Samba do Rio de Janeiro (LIESA) holds on August 07, Friday, from 19h, at Cidade do Samba, the traditional Night of the Enredos, which this year will be marked by a special tribute to one of the greatest figures in the history of samba: Bira Presidente.

With free admission, with only 1 donation kg of non-perishable food, the event will have the participation of all the schools of the Special Group, who will come up to the stage to show the public, in an unprecedented way, details about the plots with which the title of the Carnaval 2026 will be disputed.
The celebration will be packed by two icons of the root samba: the Fundo de Quintal Group and the Pagoda do Cacique de Ramos, who receive special guests to conduct the soundtrack of the night at a real meeting of generations and rhythms. The event will also feature the presence of Sambists and personalities who make up the universe of the greatest spectacle on Earth.
Already traditional in the Carnaval until the beginning of the 2000s, when it took place in a format for the guests of the associations, the event was remodeled in 2025, being opened to the public, in the Cidade do Samba.
